Daddy's home!!!!!

Tony got here around 11:15 today. It was amazing seeing him and especially seeing him see Audrey again. Tony fed her rice cereal for the first time. Most of it was on her but she really seemed to like it. Audrey is napping and Tony went to get his footprints tattoo so I thought I would share.

Waiting on Daddy

Audrey and I are so excited about Tony coming home. Audrey is so excited that she woke up last night at 2 o'clock just to tell me about it. It took her 2 1/2 hours to tell me too. She was just squealing and laughing. It would have been very cute if I wouldn't have been so tired.

Here is A snacking on the whisk

And her telling me once again how excited she is. Can't you tell?

Mommy's night out

Last night I took advantage of the Army's "Parents night out" program and had a girls night. It was the 1st time I have been out without Audrey since she was born, with the exception of work. It was nice but I was glad to have her back at the end of the night. I dropped her off at 6 and the whole check in process took 45 minutes. Beth and I were supposed to meet Amber at 6:30 at the movies. Obviously we didn't make the movies. So we went to eat at Nami's (a hibachi grill) and then went for coffee. We had a very good time.
In other news, Audrey has been practicing her skills so that she can impress Daddy when he comes home. She has been rolling a lot and has become quite mobile. She still doesn't roll at daycare so I guess she is shy. She is trying to learn how to do raspberries. It is cute. She is still a major squealer and talker. She is getting pretty sturdy and can sit up pretty well now, with help of course, and she can also stand. Her new favorite thing to do is jump, either in her jumperoo or on mommy's lap. Audrey is so much fun now. I can't wait to show her off in AR next week.

Mommy's been slackin'

Since it's been a few days since Poppy has put anything on here, I thought I would write a little something. It's getting really close to the day I leave to fly home for R&R. I'm very excited about coming home and seeing my wife and daughter for the first time in about 5 months. The last two weeks have been dragging out, it seems like the nights go by so slow, and I'm asleep during the days so I don't know how slow they go. The weather here is much different than the places I've been over here on my last two tours. It's a lot farther north and I'm up in the mountains. It stays pretty cool here, yesterday we had flood rains and all night the temperature stayed in the lower 50's. My last two deployments it was already in the upper 90's where I was stationed. I've been keeping in touch every day with Poppy, I try to call at least twice a day and we send numerous emails back and forth. I think it makes the time go by much faster if you can stay in touch with the one you love. Anyway, I can't wait to get back home to see everyone, especially my beautiful baby girl. I can't wait to see how much she's changed since I last saw her when she was only 8 days old. Well, that's it for me, I'm gonna give Poppy a call and hit the hay. Take care.

Welcome to the club

So the other day Audrey had a black smudge on her face and I did what I always swore I would never do...I licked my finger and wiped it off. I am now officially part of the mommy club.

It's been too long

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. Audrey is just so much fun to hang out with that is hard to pull myself away. Yesterday she had her 4 month check up and her stats are:
Length: 24.5 inches (60th percentile)
Weight: 13 lbs (40th percentile)
Head circumference: 16.75 inches (90th percentile)
So, she is long and skinny with a big head. =)
Tony is coming home at a great time. Audrey is very interactive now. I can't wait for him to get to hang out with her.
Here is a video of my giggle girl from earlier today.

Daddy wanted to add something

Hey everyone,
Poppy wanted me to add a post, so I thought I would give it a shot. I'm really excited to be coming home soon. I can't wait to see her and my beautiful baby girl again. It seems like it's already been forever since I left home. I'm doing fine, and I can't wait to see everyone. I thought I would add a video that Poppy sent me cause I think it's really cool. It's kinda hard watching your baby grow up through pictures and videos, but this one caught my eye. I can't believe how much she's growing up, she looks so much different from the last time I saw her in person. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Take care and I'll see you all soon.

She's got some pipes on her

Audrey talks all the time these days and she does it loudly. Her new favorite thing to do is scream and kick around on the floor. It is so cute. She even likes tummy time now. She is getting so big and strong. I can't believe she is going to be 4 months old this week. It seems like the time is flying by and it is bittersweet. I am not ready for my baby to grow up so quickly but at the same time I want this deployment to fly by. I guess I can't have it both ways. Enjoy!

10 Non - mommy things....

I am taking inspiration from some of my other blogging mommy friends and putting 10 non-Audrey related things on this post. I have no life, so this might be hard.
1) I saw Tony for the 1st time since he deployed (via webcam) on Thursday night and I cried a little. I miss him so much.
2) I have lost all of my baby weight, plus some, and I still think I look pregnant.
3) I am dying for Tony to come home but I am scared that he won't like my post pregnancy bod.
4) I NEVER fix my hair anymore because Audrey is scared of my hairdryer. Same with the vacuum.
5) I love when we have visitors but I always worry that Audrey is going to be cranky when they are here and they won't want to come back.
6) I miss my friends and family back home.
7) I can't stop eating the Pillsbury frozen buttermilk biscuits with honey.
8) I had to take a pay cut at work because of the stupid economy.
9) I can't stop buying baby stuff. Audrey has a closet full of clothes and I have about 3 things that fit me. I still buy stuff for her and not for me.
10) I rarely cook anymore. I usually eat frozen meals (and biscuits).

I get my looks from my daddy...

A is starting to look more and more like Tony. Here are a few picture to prove it.
