She's so interactive

Audrey has really changed a lot over the last few weeks. She is so much more interactive these days. When you talk to her now, she gets it. She loves to dance, cruise around the house, and turn the pages while I read to her. She also likes turning the lights off when we leave a room and pushing the button to lower the garage door. I am enjoying her so much.

Lopsided Army Crawl

Audrey pretty much stopped "crawling" when she learned how to stand but she is back at it with a vengeance now. She is quick too.

What a wonderful baby

Audrey's daycare director stopped me on the way out today and said that she was one of the best babies she had ever had. She told me that they absolutely love her there. It made me so proud. Plus, I love that they like her so much because it means that they are definitely taking good care of her. Honestly, what's not to love? Look how cute she is.

Can't keep her down

Audrey has been so active lately. It's funny because she still can't sit herself up or crawl but she can cruise like nobody's business. She was everywhere today. She can even pull up everywhere, even on the wall, and she can get to standing from her tummy, butt, or knees. No place is safe anymore. She has also been practicing standing unassisted and she can do it for 10 or 15 seconds before she grabs something or falls.

Here she is "helping" me fold clothes. She loves getting in the laundry basket. I put her in it before I put the warm clothes in it. She loves it.

Audrey's new BFF

Audrey has a new bestie, Maggie. Maggie's mom, Stephanie, and I belong to Babycenter and have been "talking" on message boards since we were pregnant. Maggie's dad is also deployed and we found out today that he is a FISTER just like Tony. Anyways, Stephanie and Maggie moved from Ft. Bliss to Waco while her hubby is deployed so we decided we needed to get the girls together. We met in a park in Temple and it was a blast. We definitely have to do it again. The girls really enjoyed their first park adventure and we really had a good time chatting. The girls got hot and wet so we let them play in their diapers. They were really cute.

Maggie was so sweet. She kept giving Audrey kisses but I never caught it on camera. I think Steph might have though.

I am mother of the year

I let my kid play with plastic bags.

How does she do it?

Audrey is sick. She has an infection in both ears. She has been super clingy and fussy and I don't blame her one bit. But....she still manages to look incredibly cute. How does she do that? I always look AWFUL when I am sick.

A nice weekend

Audrey and I have had a good weekend. She has been a little fussy and after I changed 3 very full diapers today, I know why. She has been trying to be happy though, I could just tell she didn't feel good. She is feeling much better now and now we know that the Earth's Best diapers definitely pass the test. ;)

Yesterday I went to the spa and it was awesome. I was there for over 4 hrs. BLISSFUL. I totally needed it.

Audrey has been an excellent sleeper lately. She has started taking 3 naps a day though and that makes it a little hard to plan your day. She takes one at 8:30ish, then at 11:30 or so, then again at 2 or 3. It is weird but I am not complaining. She goes down without a fight and she is much happier since she has been sleeping so well.

Playdate

I took off early yesterday and we had a playdate with our friends, Ashley and Aubree. Aubree is 2 weeks older than Audrey and her dad is deployed with Audrey's daddy. There was some hair pulling going on but all in all they played well together. It was a fun day.

Raggedy Ann

Tony bought Audrey a GIANT Raggedy Ann doll and it came in the mail today. They really looked cute together.

IKEA IKEA IKEA!!!!

A, Amber, and I went to IKEA today and A cleaned up. We got her mini pots and pans, 3 stuffed animals, wooden stacking rings, and best of all....a mini poang chair like our orange ones. She looks so cute in it. It was tough for me to put together though because Audrey was using me as a jungle gym at the same time but I did it. I also bought a shower curtain and cut it in four pieces to make a splat mat for under her high chair. It worked out nicely. The best part is...we only spent $65.

8 months!

Audrey is 8 months old today. It is crazy how fast time flies. This month she...

Wears size 2-3 diapers, 3-6 month clothes, 0-3 month shoes, 2T hats, 6-9 month jammies.

She cannot crawl and is actually not as good at the army crawl as she was a month ago. She can pull up and cruise around the furniture. She can also bend to pick up things she drops and stand without holding on (when she is brave enough).

She knows what Dada means (she calls her book of pictures Dada) and she says Mama when she wants me to pick her up or do something. She doesn't like me to leave her line of sight and that is pretty frustrating at times but it also melts my heart. She knows the sign for milk and she can also wave bye and clap.

Snuggle bunny is still a hit and her other fave toys are her daddy book and the ball. She is getting good at playing catch.

She hasn't been a very good sleeper this month but we are working on that. Last night she slept from 8 to 4:45, ate, then went back to sleep until I woke her up at 7. That is definitely an improvement.

She really is getting so big. I look back at pictures and videos and realize that she isn't my little tiny baby anymore. She has so much personality and she is so much fun. She is happy almost all the time and she a lot of fun. I am very blessed to be her mommy.
