She's got skills

Audrey is getting good on her feet. She can cruise all over the place, as long as she has something to hold on to. I am very impressed with her. I am safe though because she can roll and army crawl to places she wants to go and she can pull up from a sitting position to standing but she can't sit herself up. This keeps her out of things that she isn't supposed to be in, at least for now.
Our girl is a wee thing still. She is wearing a 0-3 month onesie the the above photo, which is nice because I don't have to buy her new ones. But....she is sporting quite the cranium. She has a giant head. Here is a picture of her trying to pull off a hat that is 3-6 month.

She actually wears a hat that is 2T most of the time. It fits perfectly. I guess you have to put all of those brains somewhere. ;)

Trying out the spoon

Audrey always tries to grab the spoon and feed herself so we thought we would give it a shot.
Here is her dinner. Sweet potatoes and broccoli.
You don't need a spoon for brocolli and apparently you don't need hands either.
Forget about the spoon. My hands are way better.
Yum! She ate it all by the way.

In other news, I had to dismantle the jumperoo today. I should have done it a long time ago. Audrey wants to put the pretty leaf in her mouth and it is nearly impossible and it makes her so mad. I took that part off and now it is all good. Happy jumping little one.

Here it is before I took it the leaf off. See what I mean? The bad thing is that she cries harder when you take her out of it because she wants that leaf. We are in trouble T.

She's got the beet

She was so funny tonight eating her beets that I had to share. I am fairly certain that the stains will never come out of her high chair cover.

Doctors visit

I took A to the Dr. yesterday because she has been a little congested and has started wheezing. No worries though, the Dr. said that it sounded bad but it was just mucous in her throat. Good deal. She weighs 16lbs and 9 ozs and she is 27inches long. My baby girl is getting so big!
What a difference 7 months makes. Is this even the same baby?

Daredevil

Audrey keeps letting go and standing by herself. She is not awesome at it but she is definitely trying. I am so proud of her because when she falls she gets right back up and doesn't cry (usually).
That is watermelon juice on her diaper. She just finished dinner. Watermelon and brussel sprouts. Yum!
PS I am going to be in so much trouble. I forgot to tell Tony about this last night. The sleeplessness is getting to me. Sorry honey.

New daycare

We are finally going to the new daycare. We have been on the waiting list since May but it has been worth the wait. Audrey started today and she had a wonderful day. She napped and ate well and she was a very happy camper when I picked her up. Hopefully the better naps will help us with some of our night time sleep issues. We shall see.
Playing in her new toy after a fun day at daycare.

My non-crawling baby has started moving around the furniture. She is still a little wobbly and she falls a lot. She is a trooper though, when she falls she doesn't cry and just pulls herself right back up. She is showing absolutely no interest in crawling so I don't think that is coming anytime soon but she sure likes to be on her feet.

Here is some video. It is kind of long but its cute.

What do you think??

Do you think Audrey looks like her cousin? I was taking pictures of her tonight so that we could document her sippy cup success and she looked so much like Dax I had to post. I don't have tons of pictures of Dax but you can still see the similarities.

Dax: 13 months old
Audrey: 7 months old

No more swimming lessons

Today was the last day of swimming lessons and my friend Beth (the one from work) came to hang out with us and get some footage. Hope you enjoy, she took millions of pictures.

Swimming and baby led weaning

Swimming lessons are going well although A isn't really learning how to swim. I can dunk her under the water and she doesn't freak out and she holds her breath and we are getting close to her being able to float on her back. She used to scrunch up her face, close her eyes and stick her feet straight up in the air when you but her on her back but now she actually wants to go on her back. She is still kind of stiff but she is definitely relaxing. She even smiles now when she is on her back. We are having a blast playing in the pool regardless of what she learns anyways.
I have been reading a lot about baby led weaning and it has made me braver about trying new, whole foods. Audrey is loving it. Today she had toast and honeydew. The honeydew was not a success but the toast was a definite hit. Plus, since I was eating a sandwich, she thought we had the same supper. I know there are all kinds of pictures of A eating but I promise that is not what she does all the time.

Prepare to be amazed...

I finally found something that Audrey can pull up on without me holding the other end to make it stable. That means my hands are free to record it for your viewing pleasure.

Watermelon - part 2

Don't worry, I took the seeds out. She ate this whole piece. She is definitely a Peachee. =)

Triple 7s

Today, 7/7, my baby girl turned 7 months old. Here are some things about her this month.
She still can't crawl or pull herself in a sitting position. She can army crawl, roll all over and pull up to standing from a sitting position. I am pretty sure she may just skip the crawling milestone.
She eats lots of different foods. She has to eat if you are eating. She still has only had breast milk and no formula. She loves water and I give her a little everyday in a straw sippy.
She wears size 2-3 diapers (for absorbency, not size) and she is still holding strong in her 3-6 month duds. She can wear a few 6-9 month things though.
She still has no teeth but she seems to be working on that.
She is not sleeping well anymore. She is hard to put to sleep all of a sudden and I think its because she has some separation anxiety. She doesn't want me to leave after I lay her down.
She started swimming lessons yesterday and she absolutely loves it. She is a total water baby. Today she floated on a kick board and even went under 2xs.
Her favorite toys this month are her LeapFrog table, her octotunes (it smells like vanilla), and her snuggle bunny. We love hand-me-down toys. =)
She is so much fun these days. She is so interactive and has a great personality. She is almost always happy and her favorite thing to do is make faces (as you can tell by the pictures). I am having a blast with her.
Her are the results of her photo session tonight. Octotunes is front and center.

She is on the move in this last one. I caught her mid roll.

Fun times with the nesting blocks

Sorry for posting so many pictures but I just couldn't choose my favorites. She loves wearing things on her head.
