Audrey is sick. On Saturday we noticed that she was extra fussy and she started running a fever. We took her to the ER b/c newborns aren't supposed to get fevers. When we got there they ran all kinds of scary tests, including a lumbar puncture, on her to determine the possible cause for the fever. They also started an iv and started giving her iv antibiotics immediately. They told us we would be there for at least 48hrs til all of the cultures came back. The cultures came back and they determined that my sweet angel has a urinary tract infection. They did an ultrasound of her kidneys today and they are good, although they haven't ruled out reflux. We will be in the hospital until Friday so she can continue her iv antibiotics and when she is released she will have to be on low dose oral antibiotics for at least 6 months to keep her from getting another one. She will be seeing a pediatric nephrologist (Kidney specialist) once a month for a least 6 months as well. She seems to be doing much better.
Also, Tony is officially on his way to Iraq. He was on his way earlier today.
