Pigtails and chit chat

Audrey has become quite chatty lately. She pretty much tries to repeat everything you say. I have given up on keeping track of her words because she has said so many. Up, book, uh-oh, Aww-dee, mama, dada, daddy, duck, hi, bye, no, and so many more.
Here is her showing off her skills. Ignore the mess. My babe thinks she needs to play with every toy she has all at once.

Audrey's daycare teachers put her in pigtails yesterday. She looked so cute. The pictures don't do her justice.
Playing with her toys
She seriously drags every toy out every night.

Another duck video and some cute girls..

First things first. Here is yet another duck video. Audrey is so stinkin' smart so I have to show her off. She is really trying to talk more. She tries to repeat everything you say (except mama, then she just says dada and laughs). She even "attempts" to say Audrey, although it kind of sounds like "aww-dee". I am so proud of her though because she is trying so hard. She now knows the signs for bath (she doesn't do that one much), duck, and milk. We are working on more and drink now. She can wave, clap, blow kisses, and raise the roof and she knows the appropriate times to do all of them. Today she was dancing up a storm while we were cleaning her room. She was standing and bouncing and moving her hands too. She is going to be just like her granny. =) We can't wait for Tony to come home and we talk about it all the time. We are also very excited to be in contract on a new house. Fingers crossed that everything works out.
So without further ado....

We went to Waco today to visit Steph and Maggie. It was a beautiful 75 degree day so we took the girls to a park. They had fun playing with our keys and going down the slides and swinging with their mommies. Steph and I had fun just talking and hanging out.
Isn't Maggie cute in her Baylor cheerleading outfit? They went to the homecoming parade this morning.
All the girls (except me)
Audrey and her keys
She was thoroughly entertained.

She is soooo impressive

She talks and she walks. Sort of.
And yes there is a twig on my floor. Audrey knocked over the plant thing behind the chair and I missed the twigs under the chair. I am a sucky housekeeper.

Duck duck....

Is duck her 5th word? So far she says (in order of appearance):
1)Da-da
2)Ma-ma
3)Hi
4)Uh-oh
and now......(turn up the volume)

So much for a restful night of sleep

Audrey was doing such an awesome job sleeping through the night and then Monday came....
I don't know what happened to my sweet sleeping angel but she has definitely disappeared. She has been waking up a LOT every night. This has made for a cranky baby and a cranky mommy. A has been having a hard time at daycare for the last few days. She doesn't want to be around any of the other kids and she is just all around fussy. All signs are pointing to teeth but we all know that I have said that before so my opinion is not worth much. I hope she gets out of her funk before her daddy gets home. She is really trying to be happy but I just think she feels crappy.
***Audrey slept all night last night. I guess she knew I was complaining. Way to go baby girl! I hope you are feeling better.***
Here is my little funny faced girl. She is such a ham.
This morning, after zero sleep. Doesn't she look tired? And look at the bruises on her forehead. She is trying to stand up from a downward facing dog position and she only makes it about 1/2 the time, the other 1/2 of her attempts result in face plants.
She is in a daze.
Baby + down comforter = fun times. We played for 45 minutes on my comforter tonight.

Odd's & End's

I know I haven't posted in a while but it is really just because I haven't really taken any pictures. Not that there aren't any photo op moments but Audrey is always on the move so she keeps me pretty busy. Things are going really well here. Audrey turned 10 months old and from then on she has been sleeping through the night. She goes to bed at 7:30 (she just grabs her blankie and bunny and rolls on her side to sleep) and wakes up around 6. She usually eats and then we play for about 20 minutes and she goes back to sleep while I am getting ready. It has been really nice and I hope it lasts.
We are counting down the days until Tony comes home and it won't be long now. It is very exciting. I already have the outfit for Audrey to wear to the ceremony picked out.
My friends and I did a thing called box of crap. The idea is that you fill a box with stuff that you think would be useful to someone else, or not and mail it to them. You can't buy anything. Here is Audrey modeling the "crap" that Mariam sent us. Thanks Mariam!
Don't you love the sunglasses? And yes...she's holding a condom.
What a ham Audrey is....

Double digits baby!!!

Audrey is 10 months old today. She has so much personality. Everyone who has ever met her absolutely loves her and she makes it so easy. She is almost always in great spirits. She waves at everyone and smiles. She is so much fun!
Tonight we were playing around and I was tickling her and she was laughing so hard she snorted and then she kept doing it. My child snorts when she laughs. Priceless.

Here she is celebrating the big 1-0. She is raising the roof. I taught her how to do that and it is super cute.
And I just wanted to show off her skills too. She is close to taking unassisted steps. I really think she could do it but she is really cautious about it. She will not budge if she isn't holding on to something. She doesn't really use it for support but I think it helps her confidence. I am pretty sure she is just holding out for daddy's homecoming.

*ETA: Please say a prayer for A's friend Ace. She has a skull fracture and she is the same age as Audrey. Everything appears to be okay but they have a follow up today. I know that must be so scary for Ace's mom and dad.*

Mrs Manners wouldn't approve

I made chicken and rice for dinner tonight and Audrey loved it. She got tired of chasing peas and rice around her tray though and decided to do it her own way. This seriously cracked me up. Sorry for the crazy camera and the daddy shout out.

Another IKEA trip

My good friends Tiffany, Kim, and Carrie were here visiting and we decided to go to IKEA today (Carrie had never been *gasp*) I hate to go there because my spoiled little princess always ends up getting so many toys. Their toys are mostly wooden and very well made and very cheap so I can't resist. She REALLY doesn't need them though. It would be easier to pass them up if she wasn't so angelic. I swear, every time we go there she is perfect. We were there for almost 3 hours, not counting the hour drive there and back and she didn't cry once. She sat in the cart the whole time too. I am blessed with a GREAT baby.
Here she is learning how to hammer.
Then she decided the hammer was much more fun to eat.
I bought my messy child a bib that covers her arms and her whole body. I guess she was excited about it?
She discovered the pocket. That is one of the stacking cups I bought her for the bathtub. They were a huge hit at bath time.
This is her favorite. She pushed it all around the house for walking support. I'm not sure how safe it was but it was VERY cute.

I also got her some more mini cook wear. I love it because it is just like the real stuff but in miniature. I think she needs a mini kitchen from Santa.
