A few sweet pictures...

Audrey was playing with her new sippy tonight and she was so cute and funny that I had to take some pictures. Enjoy!

Raggedy Ann

Tony bought Audrey a GIANT Raggedy Ann doll and it came in the mail today. They really looked cute together.

IKEA IKEA IKEA!!!!

A, Amber, and I went to IKEA today and A cleaned up. We got her mini pots and pans, 3 stuffed animals, wooden stacking rings, and best of all....a mini poang chair like our orange ones. She looks so cute in it. It was tough for me to put together though because Audrey was using me as a jungle gym at the same time but I did it. I also bought a shower curtain and cut it in four pieces to make a splat mat for under her high chair. It worked out nicely. The best part is...we only spent $65.
Here is my girl with her loot.

And just for fun, here is Audrey this morning. Doesn't she look so big?
And here she is bending over to pick up a toy. Its her favorite new hobby.

8 months!

Audrey is 8 months old today. It is crazy how fast time flies. This month she...
Wears size 2-3 diapers, 3-6 month clothes, 0-3 month shoes, 2T hats, 6-9 month jammies.
She cannot crawl and is actually not as good at the army crawl as she was a month ago. She can pull up and cruise around the furniture. She can also bend to pick up things she drops and stand without holding on (when she is brave enough).
She knows what Dada means (she calls her book of pictures Dada) and she says Mama when she wants me to pick her up or do something. She doesn't like me to leave her line of sight and that is pretty frustrating at times but it also melts my heart. She knows the sign for milk and she can also wave bye and clap.
Snuggle bunny is still a hit and her other fave toys are her daddy book and the ball. She is getting good at playing catch.
She hasn't been a very good sleeper this month but we are working on that. Last night she slept from 8 to 4:45, ate, then went back to sleep until I woke her up at 7. That is definitely an improvement.
She really is getting so big. I look back at pictures and videos and realize that she isn't my little tiny baby anymore. She has so much personality and she is so much fun. She is happy almost all the time and she a lot of fun. I am very blessed to be her mommy.

Audrey's Santa Fe souvenir

Audrey's nana got her a shirt in Santa Fe. I think it will be even cuter on her next summer. ;) Doesn't she look sweet?

Audrey is so funny lately. She drops toys out of her toy box just so that she can practice picking them up. It is mighty cute.

A few things...

The daycare teachers think A is teething. I have given up trying to figure it out but they are in their 50s with kids and grandkids and 20+ years of childcare experience so I think they may be right. She is not overly cranky but she is drooling like a faucet and her cheeks are nice and rosy. I gave her a frozen organic buckwheat blueberry waffle at dinner and she chowed down. I don't know if I am ready to say goodbye to her gummy smile.
Also, never buy this toy. It is awful. It is supposed to kick around in the bathtub but the bottom part sinks. It's CRAP. My mom thought A had to have it. Here she is attempting to play with it.
Can you tell how interested she is in it?

Fun in the sun

Audrey's Granny and Papa Johnnie were here visiting this weekend and she had a big time outside with them today. Papa Johnnie put up her new swing!

Wanna have some fun???

Give your kids jello. Its better than playing in the mud and you can eat it too. Be sure to have a bath ready though.

She's got skills

Audrey is getting good on her feet. She can cruise all over the place, as long as she has something to hold on to. I am very impressed with her. I am safe though because she can roll and army crawl to places she wants to go and she can pull up from a sitting position to standing but she can't sit herself up. This keeps her out of things that she isn't supposed to be in, at least for now.
Our girl is a wee thing still. She is wearing a 0-3 month onesie the the above photo, which is nice because I don't have to buy her new ones. But....she is sporting quite the cranium. She has a giant head. Here is a picture of her trying to pull off a hat that is 3-6 month.

She actually wears a hat that is 2T most of the time. It fits perfectly. I guess you have to put all of those brains somewhere. ;)
