Sunday is supposed to be the day of rest

But Audrey didn't nap at all today. She was in a great mood all day though and we had a great time. I got lots of videos for Tony and we even went grocery shopping with no complaints. She didn't get fussy until bedtime and she was so tired but did not want to go to sleep. For some reason she always goes to bed easier when she naps well during the day. Family

I belong to a baby forum where a bunch of other mommy's post on boards about different issues. I have noticed tons of complaints about family. Complaints about overbearing mothers and crazy in-laws are everywhere. I have come to realize that my normal family may not be the norm. Tony, Audrey, and I were blessed with a great family. We have family that is always there for us and supports us through it all. Tony's family has always made me feel like I am one of them and Tony feels the same way about my family. So...thanks for all that you do, we love you.

She's not taking it lying down

The days of Audrey lying on her back on the floor are coming to an end. Since she is getting stronger she likes to be in a sit up position all the time. We have started eating at the dinner table every night and Audrey sits in her high chair and watches me cook and then eat. She loves her Bumbo (most of the time) and her exersaucer. She is getting so big. She still likes to chill on the floor and have a chat every now and then but she would much rather be up and looking around. She is too cute for words.

An exciting weekend

Audrey and I had visitors this weekend and we had a great time. Audrey is worn out though. She doesn't sleep well when people are around because she would rather play with them, which leads to a crankier baby. She was slightly fussy but she did pretty well all things considered.
I am a little tired too so I am not minding the time change much because it means I get to go to bed earlier tonight. One problem though, the time didn't change in Iraq so my 11 pm phone call is now at 12. Yikes! Tony is going to be getting some sleepy conversations from now on.

We tried out the exersaucer. We stabilized it and put blankets around her so she wouldn't fall forward. She likes being upright these days.

Tummy time :-(

Audrey still can hardly lift her head up when she is on her tummy. It is a major struggle for her. We do tummy time every night but she hates it most of the time. They do it at daycare too. I have a feeling I am going to have an early talker and a late crawler.

Apparently Audrey had a rough day at daycare today. She had some wicked gas and was super fussy. Then she finally pooped and, judging from her clothes, it was an explosion. Wow! It must have fixed her ails because she was wonderful tonight. We had a great night.

Out with the old...

I cleaned out Audrey's closet today and put away all of the clothes that don't fit her anymore. I am going to make a quilt with the most special outfits but I am nervous because all the clothes are tee shirt material. Anyone have any tips. It's just not as stiff as normal quilt fabric. I went to Old Navy today and got Audrey 2 more pairs of jeans. She has tons of onesies that I don't have any pants to go with, problem solved. I love how jeans go with almost everything. Plus, she looks so cute in them. I also got her some new pj's from the clearance rack while we were there. She looks so cute.


She is laughing a lot lately. She has such a sweet laugh. I can't get it on camera though. I guess she is shy.

Talks too much

Audrey got her first of many "Talks too much" remarks on her report card yesterday. She never shuts up. I have no idea where she gets it from. ;-) Here she is looking sweet in her bow. Oh and she can finally wear her size newborn shoes (with really thick socks).

Getting stronger

Audrey is getting a lot stronger. Her neck muscles are finally able to support her giant head. It is cool because now she can sit in your lap. She actually starts to get grumpy when she is flat on her back. She likes to see the world now that she is finally able to. She is super cute!
She can also make the "g" sound now along with her vowels. She is super chatty. She is going to be talking before we know it.
